The Story Behind Our Work

Reach out to learn more about any of our available dogs, We founded Rio Negro Rescue after helping Moose, a scared and underweight shelter dog, learn to trust people and feel safe again. Watching him become a loving companion and find his permanent home inspired us to continue helping dogs who need another chance.

Today, we give each dog personal attention while preparing them for family life through house training, leash manners, socialization, confidence building, and basic manners. Our goal is to help every dog feel safe, loved, and ready for a family that won’t give up on them.their personalities, individual needs, and whether one could be the right companion to welcome into your family today.
